Boy’s nightmares
Meanwhile, the boy became more withdrawn. He no longer played with his toys and started having nightmares.
In the middle of the night, he would wake up screaming, ‘That’s not my sister!’ His parents would rush to comfort him, but the boy’s fear was palpable.
These episodes left his parents even more exhausted, and his father could feel his anxiety taking a toll.
The boy’s distress only fueled the father’s suspicion.
