Requesting a Test Drive
With my mind made up, I marched over to John, claiming, “I’d like to take that car for a test drive.”
My words caught him by surprise, and he nearly stumbled, suddenly unsure of his footing. Clearly not expecting me to actually want to try out a car, he hesitated, trying to mask his unpreparedness with a nervous chuckle.
His reaction was priceless, and it seemed that I had finally thrown him off balance.
