Left alone to browse, I wandered around the showroom quietly. My attention was drawn to Liam, who was chatting loudly nearby.
Apparently, he had made a high-profile deal, and he seemed to be bragging about his achievement to anyone who would listen.
I pretended to be absorbed in a brochure while listening in. It was intriguing how confident he was in front of a young sales trainee, perhaps trying to impress or show off his skills.
