American actress Kristy McNichol got her peak of fame during the early ’80s. Back then, she grabbed the attention of the viewers with her convincing performances in popular dramedy movies like Little Darlings and Only When I Laugh. McNichol also appeared in NBC‘s sitcom Empty Nest, which landed her two Emmy awards.
After disappearing from the big and small screen, many fans wondered about what she was up to. After a period of public inactivity, McNichol announced that she had retired from acting in 1998. McNichol is now an acting teacher at a private school in Los Angeles and has recently come out as a lesbian.
