‘Karen’ gave a satisfied sigh as she asked for a glass of Chardonnay. Clearly, her comfort was winning over my minor inconvenience.
I caught the eye of a couple across the aisle giving me sympathetic looks. Her audacity mirrored tales of unruly travelers I’d heard before, but now, seeing it firsthand, added an element of disbelief.
