Fleeing the scene
Bill was hiding something, but Frank couldn’t tell yet what it was. To avoid further conversation, Bill drove off in his pickup truck, leaving behind a tire-filled mess of a garden.
A few hours later, Bill returned, but by then, the entire neighborhood was awake and aware of the strange situation.
