Annual Block Party
With the playground as its centerpiece, the neighborhood started a new tradition, a yearly block party held each spring.
Everyone pitched in to set up food tables and games. Bill always received a round of applause, but he insisted the event was a celebration of everyone’s effort, not just his own.
