Hidden Emotions
As Tim slips the cupcake into his pocket, I catch a glimpse of his eyes. Sometimes, they glisten like he’s about to cry, though he tries to hide it behind the clunky gloves he wears.
I always thought it was just because Lily was such a bright spot in his day, like a fresh burst of sunshine.
