Theories about its origin ranged from bird nests to mammal dens, but none of them completely fit. Something about the structure remained puzzling.
“Could it belong to a rodent?” John wondered aloud as he turned the nest over in his hands again, examining its construction. “Possible,” Mark admitted. “But rodents don’t weave structures this intricate.”
