Sending off the test
The DNA test arrived quickly, and Olivia could hardly contain her excitement. “So, what do I do?” she asked, gripping the small box.
We showed her the instructions, simple enough for her to follow. She swabbed her cheek enthusiastically, sealing everything ready for mailing back.
“Is it done?” she asked, looking satisfied. “Yup,” I replied, taking the package from her. Life continued as usual as we awaited the results.
