Break Requested For Private Review
Deborah’s attorney requested a short break and gathered the copies into his folder. He stood, gestured for Deborah to join him, and said they would step into the hallway to confer.
Brad paused both recorders and checked the time on the agenda. I capped my pen and kept the folders in place.
The door closed softly behind them, and the room fell quiet except for the air vent.
