Driving Back And Checking Mailbox
I left the office parking garage and took the lake road past the marina. Late sun flashed through the trees as I turned down our lane.
At the mailbox cluster, I opened the box and checked the parcel locker; only a flyer sat inside. A USPS truck rolled up behind me and idled with the hazards on.
I stepped aside, told the carrier my address, and waited while he sorted a bundle with green stickers.
