Demand for unity
The protagonist demands an end to the bitter rivalry and for the family to unite. ‘We can’t keep tearing each other apart,’ I pleaded.
‘This ends now,’ Aunt Linda echoed. ‘It’s time to move forward,’ Uncle Paul asserted. The room fell silent, as everyone absorbed the weight of the declaration.
‘We need to be a family again,’ I urged, looking each member in the eye. The tension began to break as nods of agreement were shared.
Unity was the only path forward.
