After a touch of normalcy, Sarah agreed to stay the night. But any mention of Roger vanished from her side of the conversation.
When Mike tentatively broached the subject, she went stone-faced. ‘I don’t want to talk about him,’ she said firmly, eyes downcast as she fussed with her sleeve.
