Vague excuses
Over a tense phone call, Carlos gave a vague excuse about needing the house back due to unforeseen circumstances. “What circumstances?”
Alex demanded. Carlos hesitated, “It’s complicated. We just need it back.” Alex’s frustration boiled. “
We’ve put everything into that house! You can’t just take it from us!” But Carlos remained unmoved, repeating the same excuse.
