Confrontation
I confronted my neighbor the following morning, asking him directly what he was up to. He was in his driveway when I approached. “Listen,”
I said, “what were you doing in my yard last night?” His eyes widened for a split second before narrowing. “What’re you talking about?”
he replied with a defensive edge. My persistence clearly rattled him, but he wasn’t willing to give up any information voluntarily.
