Within minutes, Officer Reynolds arrived and approached my neighbor, who quickly stopped digging and tried to hide the shovel.
My heart raced as I watched the scene unfolding. The officer gestured for my neighbor to come over. He complied, albeit reluctantly, holding the shovel behind his back.
From my viewpoint, I could see Officer Reynolds was asking him questions, likely pertaining to why he was in my yard digging.
