Lost watch story
My neighbor muttered something about looking for a lost watch, which on the surface seemed sketchy. He claimed it was a family heirloom that had fallen into the yard during a barbecue last summer.
Officer Reynolds raised an eyebrow but didn’t directly challenge the flimsy excuse. I watched, incredulous, from the safety of my house, wondering if the officer would buy this story and let my neighbor off the hook.
