Neighbor let go
The officer decided to let the neighbor go but assured me he’d keep an eye on the situation. I could see Officer Reynolds taking a few notes before nodding and stepping back towards his patrol car.
My neighbor, visibly relieved, quickly shuffled away with the shovel still in hand. As I watched this unfold, a sense of unease settled over me.
