The officer at the desk pointed calmly to a room on the left. Matt turned his head—and there he was. Charles sat inside an interrogation room, perfectly at ease.
A young officer entered and sat across from him. Matt’s breath caught in his throat. Charles didn’t look worried. He looked… comfortable.
