Matt placed a firm hand on the old man’s shoulder and escorted him out of the supermarket. When he returned, customers and employees stared at him with disapproving eyes.
They clearly didn’t agree with his decision, but Matt was convinced he had done the right thing. He expected never to see Charles again, but fate had a very different plan.
