Busy Morning
The animal shelter was buzzing with activity as a new day got underway. Volunteers dashed around, making sure every animal had fresh food and water.
Dogs barked playfully, excited cats stretched in their cages, and the staff chatted while they worked.
In the midst of it all, the sounds of the shelter seemed almost soothing to those who were used to the routine, but not every animal felt at ease.
