Small talk quickly turns into a tense confrontation when Viktor probes about her sister’s sudden departure and whether she knows anything about it.
“Susan, I need to ask you something,” he begins cautiously. Her eyes narrow slightly. “What is it, Viktor?” He hesitates but pushes forward.
“Do you know why she left, or if there’s anything I should know about the boys?” Susan shifts uncomfortably, the façade of politeness slipping.
“I… I don’t know,” she stammers.
