The floorboards creaked
Mr. Jenkins stepped further into the shed, the floorboards creaking loudly under his weight. He winced, hoping he wouldn’t startle Buddy, and proceeded more cautiously.
The boards groaned as he moved, his steps echoing in the confined space. He advanced carefully, making his way through the maze of clutter, his flashlight illuminating the narrow path ahead of him.
