Stranger In The Park
Once we entered the park, Rocky’s barks rose to a crescendo, directed toward a silhouette by the trees.
The figure, noticing us, quickly stepped back and disappeared behind the foliage. “Who’s that?” I wondered aloud, puzzled by the swift departure.
Rocky strained against the leash, clearly intent on giving chase. “Come on, let’s check it out,” I urged, curiosity bubbling.
But a voice inside reminded me to stay cautious. I squeezed the leash, keeping Rocky in check.
