Rocky’s Lonely Journey
Marla returned as Rocky played. “He was found wandering the streets,” she said, leaning against the doorframe.
“Poor guy looked lost and underfed.” Her words painted a lonely picture of Rocky’s journey. It pained me to think of him alone for so long.
But it also made me realize how resilient he was to have survived. “It must have been tough on him,” I replied, looking over at Rocky.
He seemed smaller now, even under the room’s warm light.
