The creative force behind DKNY is one of America’s wealthiest women. With a vision to design contemporary attire for everyday wear, Karan launched her eponymous brand in 1984.
Her debut women’s clothing collection debuted in 1985. Although she stepped down as CEO in 1997, Karan remains actively involved as chairwoman and designer.
