According to the Harvard Business Review, when adults are trusted with autonomy, many rise to the challenge, leading to increased creativity and productivity. The freedom allows them to make decisions and grow. In his work, social psychologist Jonathan Haidt suggests that adults have innate moral “taste buds.” Given free reign, adults might act according to these foundations, which can vary greatly among individuals.
