Anyone who spent their youth at punk concerts certainly knows what a beer shower is. But there are also said to be people who attribute this ritual to the FC Bayern Munich kickers. Since 2000, football stars have showered in wheat beer if they can win the championship.
Allegedly, either Giovane Élber or Mario Basler is responsible. In fact, the term has now become so established that it has also been in the dictionary since 2017. We think this photo is particularly pretty because the foam from the wheat beer flows over Robben’s head in such a way that it looks like a towel.
