Horus in the neighborhood
Again, someone had their finger on the trigger at the right time. This picture reminds us a little of the Egyptian god Horus, who appears to be stomping through the neighborhood angrily. The Egyptian deity was often depicted as a falcon or as a human with a falcon’s head.
While we’re not ornithology experts, we’re aware that we’re not dealing with a falcon in the photo. The bird seems more like a crow or a raven, but these birds also figure prominently in many myths. In addition, the animal also appears more frequently in literature, think, for example, of the Grimm fairy tale “The Seven Ravens”.
