Stylish glasses frame
This young man, sitting there on his father’s shoulders, sees the world through soap bubble glasses, at least temporarily. In fact, soap bubbles or soap bubble suds are relatively old children’s toys. These pretty bubbles can already be found in a painting by Pieter Bruegel from 1560.

What we mostly use today to make soap bubbles was accidentally developed in 1948. The chemist Rolf Hein actually wanted to find a new detergent formula. But the mixed mixture foamed too much. Without further ado, Hein had the soap bottled, packed a puff ring with the bottle and “Pustefix” was born.
