Morning arrives
As the first light of morning seeped through the curtains, June sat on the edge of her bed, watching the creature sleep. When it finally woke, it flattered its wings and looked up at her.
June smiled. “Hungry, huh?” she asked. “Let’s figure out what you eat.”
