Frustrated but determined, June remembered the fruit bowl on her counter. She grabbed a peach, an apple, and a couple of bananas, setting them down in front of the creature.
Its nose twitched at the scent, and it shuffled closer, clearly interested. “Well, this is a good sign,” she said.
