Speaking of family
Kate, in turn, shared stories of their mother and older brother, Ben. She spoke of their mother’s tireless love and how Ben had taken on a protective role, always looking out for her.
“He’d have loved to see you again,” Kate said with a wistful smile. June nodded, tears slipping down her cheeks. “I’ve missed so much of his life… but I’m grateful for the chance to be here with you.”
