Reaching out
Emma’s stomach tightened with worry. It didn’t look like mud, and it definitely didn’t look like any kind of stone she was used to.
Hesitantly, she reached out and touched the lump, feeling its rough, fibrous surface. It shifted under her hand, moving back into the wheel and disappearing from view within seconds.
