Starting small
The young men sat down in the booth next to Mr.Thompson, who tried to ignore the loud-mouthed individuals. Mr.Thompson was a quiet man of many words and liked to avoid confrontation if at all possible.
But these pesky men were hard to ignore. Their taunting behavior started out slowly. A few pointing fingers and quick jokes among friends at Mr.Thompson’s expense. But things got out of hand quickly after that!
