The Armenian American singer, actress, and television star made her debut in the ‘60s. That’s right, she’s been in the spotlight for about 6 decades! Her first taste of stardom came when her song I Got You, Babe became a superhit. She’s Still Hustling at the Gym
At the age of 75, Cher still manages to sing and do crazy dance moves – IN HEELS! (I’m not sure I could do that in my 20s!) But being fit isn’t easy and Cher works hard to maintain her physique and form. Many have asked her about her antiaging secrets, but in a book she released in 1991, Cher says that it’s actually hard work that pays off.
Cher goes to the gym five times a week and works with a personal trainer who makes sure to get the best out of her. It’s obviously working for her because she can still maintain a five-minute plank and outdo anyone even half her age!
Although she says she has to work twice as hard as most others to get the same results, she still keeps it fun by including workouts such as surfing, swimming, and Wii Tennis.
Her Diet is Plant-Based

Thankfully, Cher seems to have found a formula that works for her. She stays away from things like fatty burgers and greasy bacon – foods that are definitely not heart-friendly or health-friendly, especially for those in their old age. Cher goes a step further and rejects anything oily or high-fat dairy. This includes cheese too as she finds it difficult to digest.
Instead, Cher’s diet includes healthy carbs like sweet potatoes, baked potatoes, and fresh salads. She also refrains from eating anything with refined sugar, opting for natural sugars in the form of fruits instead. She also eats plenty of whole foods like brown rice, legumes, and vegetables. Her diet is pretty simple and she believes that a plant-based diet is the best way to gain nutrition while refraining from burdening your digestive system.
She Quit Smoking & Drinking
Smoking is a dangerous habit that can lead to some pretty serious health consequences, including several types of cancers, lung disease, diabetes, and heart disease, but did you know that it can also lead to weight gain, hair loss, yellow teeth, and more? Long-term smoking can actually cause the structure of your skin to change, leading to dullness and wrinkles!
Cher used to be a casual smoker in her youth, but fortunately, she quickly realized that it was bad for her and kicked the habit. She also understood the negative effects alcohol was having on her and gave up drinking too. She admits to never having liked drinking anyway, although she may have a glass maybe 2 or 3 times a year. Cher also stays away from parties and avoids the temptation of such vices by focusing on her health and body.
She Takes Care of Her Skin
Cher is a big advocate for healthy eating and exercise being the key to staying young, but she also takes skincare pretty seriously. She is a big fan of Dr. Barbara Sturm’s eye cream and face wash which are gentle on her skin. She also uses products by Jan Marini and Proactiv.
However, she does not have a strict skincare routine to follow every day. She switches the products around from time to time to make sure that different areas of her skin that need focus are properly taken care of, although she usually prefers to stick to trusted brands. It’s a good thing that she’s found a routine that works for her because she looks incredible!
She Doesn’t Shy Away from Cosmetic Procedures
Cher is pretty open about having cosmetic work done and says that she does not understand the stigma around it. She says that people should do what makes them happy, and if what makes them happy is going under the knife, then they should do it!
Cher herself has had work done on her nose and teeth. She is a perfectionist, so she didn’t like how her big nose looked on the big screen, nor did she like her crooked teeth.
